We’re proud to highlight two keynote lectures from our lab at the Goldschmidt Conference 2025, held from 6–11 July in Prague. As part of Session 07h: Global Geochemical Pathways to the Origin and Survival of Life on Earth-like Worlds, under the Co-Evolution of Life and the Earth theme, our researchers will present cutting-edge insights on Tuesday, 8 July, from 14:30 to 17:30 in Club A (Prague Congress Centre).
- At 14:30, Prof. Juan Manuel Garcia-Ruiz will deliver a keynote titled “The role of silica in the setting of Hadean protoworlds”.
- Shortly after, at 15:00, Dr. Christian Jenewein will present a second keynote, “Concomitant formation of protocells and prebiotic compounds in the primordial soup”, based on recent research published in PNAS.
These lectures showcase our lab’s pioneering work on the role of silica and the geochemical conditions that may have play an important role in the origin of life on early Earth and similar planets.
