The 13th Belgian Crystallography Symposium (BCS13) will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, in Leuven, at KU Leuven. Organized by the Belgian National Committee for Crystallography, this biennial event brings together crystallographers, researchers, and students from across Belgium and beyond.

A highlight of the event is a keynote lecture by Prof. Juan Manuel Garcia‑Ruiz, titled “The role of silica in the dawn of life on our planet”. His talk will explore the fundamental role of silica in prebiotic chemistry and its implications for understanding the origins of life on Earth.
