The Earth That Cradled Life – Lecture by Prof. Juan Manuel García-Ruiz (Cycle: News on the Origin of Life)

As part of the Madrid Science and Innovation Week 2025, the Archaeological and Paleontological Museum of the Community of Madrid (MARPA) presents the lecture series News on the Origin of Life, an invitation to explore one of humanity’s greatest questions: How did life begin on our planet?

Concluding the series, on November 12, Prof. Juan Manuel García-Ruiz, Ikerbasque Research Professor at the Donostia International Physics Center and Emeritus Professor at the CSIC, will deliver his lecture The Earth That Cradled Life.

In this talk, Professor García-Ruiz will delve into the geological processes that could have made the emergence of living organisms possible.

The lecture will take place in the Patio de Cristales of the museum, with free admission until full capacity is reached.
