La cristalización de la danza
The Crystallization of Dance (Cristalización de la danza) is a hybrid spectacle that blends academic lecture, educational talk, stage performance, and sensory experience. It seeks to explore and reveal, on multiple levels, how the concept of crystallinity has permeated not only dance but the arts as a whole.
The show «The Crystallization of Dance» is an original creation born from the encounter between scientist Juan Manuel García Ruiz and dancer and choreographer Vanesa Aibar. A crossroads that explores the lesser-known historical relationship between crystals and both modern dance and flamenco, it invites reflection on their complementary visions in art by confronting the idea of abstraction—represented here by the inorganic and crystalline—with the empathy embodied by the biological and natural.
The project has received support from the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the DIPC, and the collaboration of INAEM–Ministry of Culture.
